Finalising of the Presentation and Resources

Today I have finalised the presentation and am hoping that everyone has got all their information in the PowerPoint. I have put all of Esther's answer for Bad Habits into the presentation. Hope everything goes well and that our presentation is good!!!

Evaluation of Assignment

During the project I have taken on the roles of helping everyone out when they need it. Completing the final details in the presentation and completing the class handout. I have also taken on the role of organising the presentations PowerPoint.
I liked how the work was shared pretty evenly and was a good amount for each person to do.
Finding the time to gather as a group was very difficult and didn't help with communication purposes.
From working as a group I learnt to co-operate well with others and that communication is very important. I also learnt that helping others in the group can help to get the assignment complete on time.
I think that the group worked well together and co-operated well but could have used their time a bit better.
Everyone in the group worked enthusiastically but the work could have been a little bit more even.
I think that I worked well as an individual in the group. I completed all of what I needed to and did a some extra work.
As a group member I probably could have tried to find a little more time to work with the group. But otherwise I think that I contributed to the group quite well.
Finding more time to work with the entire group would probably have improved the groups performances.

Resources Still Flooding In

I have finished the handout and am finalising what I am going to say for the presentation. I have also added some interesting facts about the respiratory system to the presentation which will hopefully make the presentation a bit more fun.

Resources and Research Put Together on Slideshow

We have started and nearly completely put all our information into the slideshow. Everyone except for Carli has put at least one slide of information in. We will be helping Carli put her information into the slideshow during our class lesson today. Esther will be helping me to complete the class handout.

Decisions for the Handout

We have decided that i will be doing the handout with a little help from Carli, Krisantha and Esther. Mr Lennon has asked that we send him a copy of the handout and one with the answers. We have had our make - up computer lesson. We still have one more lesson in class. This lesson is on Monday the 23rd of August. Hopefully by the end of this lesson we will have our PowerPoint presentation complete and will e working on our explanation for the presentation. We haven't had many problems and are getting closer to finishing.

Planning as a Group

After school yesterday we went to the library. I left early because there wasn't much I could do. Carli, Krisantha and Esther worked on their questions. We have decided that I will be doing the handout with a little help from everyone else.

The Decision has Been Made

We have decided that we are going to use http://docs.google.com/. This is because it allows the group to all be working on the same thing at the same time. We have now started to work on our presentation using http://docs.google.com/. Hope everthing goes well!!!

Meetings Decisions Changed

After much disscussion the days that we are meeting have changed. The meetings are now gooing to be held when everyone will attend. The days are now:
Thursday 19th August - after school
Friday 20th August - lunch
and any other times that we can. The days were changed because people were away and we need to work on our presentation.

Decisions for Meetings

Yesterday in our science class we decided on some times that we will meet to work on our assignment. The days are:
Monday 16th August
Tuesday 17th August
Thursday 19th August
Carli isn't going to attend the meeting on Tuesday the 17th and I will not be attending any of these meetings.

I have found a few good websites that have information on the Respiratory System.

I also have the solution so i do have the answers. Which will be needed.

Here are some of the images I have found. The first one (left) is a labelled diagram of the Respiratory System.It is a good diagram because it shows all the parts of the respiratory system clearly labelled. The other image is an animation. This is a good resource because it shows what the lungs and the diaphragm do when you inhale and exhale.

Lesson Problems

On the 9th August we had a class lesson to work on our assignment with our group and to use the laptops.
This didn't happen because of technical difficulties with the laptops. :(
Thankfully Mr Lennon is going to give us another lesson to make up for the problem that all classes have had up until today, Tuesday 10th August.

Resources Luck!!! No Thanks to The Internet :(

After many, many troubles with the Internet i have found some resources.
I found heaps of cool pictures for the presentation.
I also found a great find-a-word for the handout.
I hope that everyone else in my group is having as much luck as I am!!!

I started to research my question and look for some really good pictures and animations to use in our presentation.

I am very pleased with what I have found so far.

Planning for presentation

We have decided who is doing which questions and how we are going to present our information.
The questions have been divided as below:

                             Carli - 1 and 2

                             Esther - 3 and 4

                             Krisantha - 5 and 6

                             Me - 7 and help with all the other questions

We have decided that we are most likely to use http://docs.google.com/. This is because we can all edit the one presentation at the same time without needing to have several accounts.

Group Decisions Done

Today we gt our groups and topic. We did it by selecting our groups and picking the topic out of a plastic sleeve, not knowing what the topic would be.
